For the past six years Meaghan Edelstein has immersed herself in social media and mobile marketing. In 2007, Edelstein began documenting her personal battle with cancer via her blog, I Kicked Cancer’s Ass. Within six months of her first post, Edelstein founded the nonprofit organization, Spirit Jump, a grassroots nonprofit organization with a mission to provide hope and comfort to the many men, women and children battling cancer. Through the strategic use of social media Edelstein was able to reach thousands of cancer fighters, survivors and supporters. Her savvy use of social media tools and platforms quickly captured national attention by the likes of Good Morning America, NPR, Cure Magazine, BlogWorld, NTEN and Mashable.
Through invaluable experience gained from running a highly successful blog and nonprofit, Edelstein’s social media passions continued to grow. Edelstein took on various freelance and in-house marketing jobs until she was hired as the sole event producer for Global Strategic Management Institute’s (GSMI) Social Media Strategies Summits, Mobile Marketing Strategies Summits, Social Media Legal Risks and Strategies Summits and Blogging Strategies Summit. Over the course of two years Edelstein was responsible for producing over 17 highly successful executive level summits. In addition, Edelstein was the Vice President of Social Media for GSMI overseeing all social media marketing efforts including being the senior editor for the GSMI Social Media Strategies Summit blog. Edelstein also had the privilege of facilitating Social Axcess 25, GSMI’s executive working group.
Currently, Edelstein is the Co-founder and CMO of Mobile Dealin’, an integrated media management company, as well as a licensed attorney in the state of Florida. Edelstein is available for freelance work in the areas of social media marketing, event production and content creation.
